Scene 6 of a series of Paintings for "The Firebird Suite"
A collaborative project with Wilmington Symphony Orchestra
 
9 paintings tell the story of the Firebird.This is Scene 6. "I put a Spell on you" also known as "Infernal Dance". This scene is when the firebird casts a spell on Koschei and his grotesque servants, who do a fast, jagged dance.
The Firebird is a ballet and orchestral concert work by the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky.
These images were painted while listening to the music, incorporating the energy and emotion felt from the music and putting that into imagery on the canvas.
